It was such a great experience to be a part of the first ever Urban Winter Village. I particularly enjoyed working in such a unique environment (the shipping containers) as they provided a credible and popular alternative to the traditional markets that were also running in the city centre this Christmas time. I enjoyed the Village not only as a seller but also as a buyer, finding some quality Christmas presents of my own from fellow independent sellers.
It was a great opportunity to talk with my customers and the shipping container provided me with a cool, contemporary setting for my products which I loved.
Liverpool has such a rich shipping heritage. For this reason, the shipping container pop-up shops seemed to suit the city perfectly in quite a poetic way.
