The Urban Winter Village was Liverpool's very first shipping container market which brought together an eclectic group of likeminded individuals and businesses trading together in the heart of the City over Christmas.

Made from repurposed shipping containers the Urban Winter Village brought one of the hottest trends in urban architecture to the city. The event ran through 21 November to 22 December and was delivered Partnership with Whitecrate, Open Culture and Liverpool City Central BID. The Urban Winter Village featured a total of 16 units. These units ranged from 10ft kiosks to 20ft tunnel stores and open sided units.

At the heart of the village was Liverpool’s City Central bandstand which featured live bands and musicians every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You could even stop by the Cargo Lounge and enjoy the full program of entertainment whilst warming up with a warm festive drink.

The Urban Winter Village aimed to compliment the existing Christmas Markets and attract the best of Liverpool’s creative, independent and artisan retailers to create a unique offer for the city’s shoppers at Christmas.
